About the Club & Membership Information
The English Setter Association of Victoria Inc.
This is the foundation breed club in Australia, being established by a dedicated group of enthusiasts approximately 30 years ago.
Membership of the club will enable you to
A regular newsletter goes to all financial members and contains information about club activities, schedules for club shows and events, articles of interest on the breed, current topics, show results, photos and general interest items.
The financial year of the club commences on the 1st January each year, and terminates on 31st December of the same year. Member fees are payable prior to the 30th January each year to maintain continuity of membership. New members joining after 1st October are covered for the following year. Eligibility criteria applies to compete for club awards or to be nominated for Committee.
Current membership fees (ie 2008) are:
| Single membership | $25 per annum |
| Dual membership | $35 per annum |
| Junior membership (under 16 years of age) | $15 per annum |
Please note: On 1 January 2004 the Victorian Canine Association Inc introduced a non-VCA member insurance levy which all affiliated clubs are required to collect and forward to the VCA. This levy applies ONLY to Victorian club members who are not members of the VCA Inc. Non participating life members, interstate and overseas members are EXEMPT from this levy.
If you are a Victorian resident and wish to apply for membership, and you are not a member of the VCA Inc, the levy applicable is $6.50 for a single member, or $13 for a family membership.
Overseas members need to add postage: A$5 for Asia Pacific; A$10 for rest of world.
Membership applications should be sent to the Treasurer and should include some information relevant to the applicant's interest in the breed.
